Commerce Minister Assured to Ban E-Cigarettes in Import Policy

On 31 August 2023, MANAS team met with Mr. Tipu Munshi, MP, Honorable Minister, Ministry of Commerce regarding the ban on e-cigarettes in the import policy. MANAS founder president Prof. Dr. Arup Ratan Choudhury briefed about the e-cigarettes & harmful effects documents with a video and handed over a letter to the commerce minister to take initiative for the ban on e-cigarettes in the import policy.

The Honorable Minister assured that he will take the initiative to stop importing e-cigarettes. On the same day, the MANAS team also submitted a letter to the Senior Secretary, Ministry of Commerce to request take initiative ban on e-cigarettes in the import policy.
