On 31 January 2024, MANAS president, herioic freedom fighter Prof. ArupRatan Choudhury congratuated  Asaduzzaman Khan, MP, Hon’ble  Minister, Ministry of Home Affairs for re-electing as MP and as minister at the cabinet. MANAS president also discussed the tobacco control situation in the country where the tobacco control laws are being violated in various ways. The MANAS President requested the Home Minister to play a strict role in the implementation of the tobacco control law by law enforcement agencies. Also, in the meeting, it was requested to hold the meetings of the anti-drug advisory taskforce committee regularly. The Home Minister assured to take action from his ministry in the matter. In this meeting Umme Jannat, Project Coordinator, and Abu Rayhan, Senior Project and Communication Officer were present.
